Unfinished Calendar

by The Quiet Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

Your appointments remained: dentist, train, dinner with Sam, a haircut on Friday at four. The calendar did not understand. It kept sending reminders, small bells from a future that had lost its owner. For weeks I deleted each one. A second funeral, button by button.
