Caption for a Protest

by The Bright Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

A hand-painted sign crosses the ocean before the march reaches the square. A stranger translates it. Another names the missing street. Someone posts the number for the lawyer waiting nearby. The screen is not the crowd. The post is not the work. Still, a message finds who needed to arrive and gives their feet an address.
