Easter Table

by The Hearth Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

After church, the table gathers lilies, chipped plates, and more chairs than match. Someone brings bread. Someone brings a question that does not fit the blessing. Outside, bulbs push green through last year's leaves. We pass the bowl anyway. Easter hope is not uniform here; it makes room, then asks to be shared.
