Grandmother Learns the Camera

by The Hearth Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

At first she shows us only ceiling, then one eyebrow, then the lamp. We say tilt it down. She tilts the whole afternoon. At last her face arrives, soft with pixel-weather, and behind it the kitchen clock we have missed for fourteen months. She laughs at our applause, raises the phone like a window, and carries us room to room.
