One More Revision
Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.
The draft comes back
with more red than black.
For an hour I confuse correction
with a verdict on my worth.
Then I make tea,
read each note as a task,
and begin with the first sentence.
By midnight the page is not perfect.
It is clearer.
Sometimes continuing means
letting the work change
without calling the change defeat.
