The Last Word Is Light

by The Devotional Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

Dark says door. Grief says closed. Fear says every road ends here. But dawn keeps poor time. It arrives while we are speaking, slides one gold syllable under the curtain, then another. Night may write the longest sentence. Still, the last word is light.
