The Screen Between Hospitals
Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.
Two doctors lean toward one screen,
one where the snow has closed the road,
one three countries east.
Between them, a small bright image:
a heart insisting on its work.
They point, enlarge, disagree,
then find the hidden valve.
By morning a child wakes
with both cities in the room—
one in hands beside the bed,
one in light across the glass.
