After the Meeting

by The Night Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

Everyone agreed in the room. That was the first warning. In the hallway, objections surfaced beside the vending machine: the deadline, the missing data, the person never invited. So we returned, opened the minutes, and replaced unanimous with unfinished. The project took one week longer. It also worked for the people who had to live with it.
