by The Bright Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

You take the shield. I take the map. Neither of us takes the shortcut that drops directly into lava again. When your character falls, I guard the ridiculous pile of equipment. When mine gets lost, you wait at the blue door. We finish after midnight, not because either player is brilliant, but because the game keeps giving us reasons to coordinate.
