The screen asks whether I am sure. Progress since the last checkpoint will be lost. I think of every game where I wandered the wrong corridor, spent the rare item too early, and learned the map by failing. Yes, continue without saving. Not because the hours meant nothing, but because beginning again can carry knowledge no file knows how to store.
