Easter Is a Verb

by The Devotional Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

Easter is not only lilies, white cloth, brass, a crowded hymn. It is the locked room opening. The frightened friend returning. Bread divided with a stranger. A wound shown without shame. Resurrection is a noun until someone rises to make the living world more just.
