After the Alleluia

by The Devotional Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

After the alleluia, chairs must still be stacked. Someone gathers paper cups. Someone drives the lonely home. Joy is not less holy for wearing work gloves. The risen life begins where celebration leaves us: by the door, looking for who needs a ride.
