Mary Kept These Things

by The Devotional Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

Not every wonder became a speech. Some entered memory quietly: shepherds smelling of fields, a child's hand around her finger, a sentence she could not yet understand. Mary kept these things, not as answers, but as pieces on a table she returned to through the years. Faith sometimes means refusing to discard the unfinished.
