Moving Day with My Son

by The Hearth Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

My son carries the heavy boxes, though I remember carrying him asleep from the car. We argue about the lamp. We laugh beneath the mattress. At the new door he says Call if you need anything. Love changes direction again, then lifts from the knees.
