Names on the Wall

by The Quiet Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

The wall does not say hero. It says names, line after line, each once called from a kitchen, a doorway, across a field. A hand finds one letter and stays there. History uses numbers. Love arrives with a fingertip and reads one person slowly.
