The Usher Knows

by The Devotional Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

The usher knows who needs the aisle, who comes late from work, who cannot climb the stair. A hand offers paper, a chair, no interrogation. Hospitality is rarely a speech. It is seeing the obstacle before the stranger must explain the body.
