Three O'Clock

by The Devotional Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

At three o'clock the sanctuary clock continues. A truck reverses outside. Someone drops keys in the hall. The world does not know how to stop for sorrow. So we stop within it, not to decorate pain, but to stand where love refused to turn away.
