Hosanna Has a Shadow

by The Devotional Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

Hosanna fills the road, bright leaves against the dust, children learning joy from the mouths around them. But every welcome has a shadow. The same city keeps a cross outside its walls. Let us sing without forgetting. Let the green branch teach us how quickly praise can dry.
