Tuesday After You Moved

by The Night Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

The weekend goodbye was dramatic enough: platform, coffee going cold, your hand against the glass. Tuesday is harder. I reach for the second mug, forget the time difference, and send a message while you sleep. Long distance is built from ordinary errors, then repaired by the morning reply: Still here. Call tonight?
