When the Bell Rings
Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.
Question ten still waits
with four empty lines.
I have written however
and nothing after it.
The clock lifts its long hand.
The teacher says one minute.
Every pencil becomes a woodpecker.
Then the bell rings.
However remains alone,
which may be the most honest ending.
