After the Group Chat

by The Quiet Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

Your name remains in the group chat, a small green circle beside the last thing you said: I am on my way. Nobody removes you. Nobody knows what removing means. Months later, someone sends a joke. For one wild second we wait for your reply, all of us standing inside those three words.
