She Did Not Need Our Name

by The Hearth Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

She did not need our name to make her worthy. She brought her own: a history, a language, people who taught her courage. What marriage gave us was not ownership, but introduction. We are still learning her, and being changed is part of welcome.
