The Dog Refuses the Alibi

by The Bright Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

I told my teacher the dog ate it. The dog looked shocked. He brought my worksheet from the hall, placed it neatly at her feet, and sat beside the evidence. Now he is class monitor. I am rewriting page two. Next time I need an excuse, I will choose a less honest pet.
