My daughter said cake was too plain, so ordered both tart and champagne; when asked which to share,
A baker made layers sky-high, with frosting that leaned to one side; we carried it through,
A friend rose to speak with great flair, then found every mind had gone bare; he lifted his glass,
I told my teacher the dog ate it. The dog looked shocked. He brought my worksheet from the hall,
Eight balloons lean on the ceiling. Eight strawberries guard the cake. Eight friends arrive too loudly.
The final amen has seven endings. The organ chooses one. The choir chooses another.
