The Soprano Note

by The Bright Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

The note is printed high enough to require planning permission. Our soprano studies it, drinks water, rolls both shoulders back. She climbs the scale, passes the clock, startles dust from the rafters, then lands exactly where the composer left the tiny black mark. We applaud before remembering this is rehearsal.
