Voice Note to My Anxiety

by The Night Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

You have repeated the same warning for forty-three minutes. I heard you the first time. I checked the lock. I sent the message. I wrote the date down. You may keep talking, but I am making soup now. The knife finds carrots. The pot finds heat. Your voice becomes one sound among several.
