Distance Will Change Us

by The Night Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

I will not say nothing will change. The truth deserves better. Calls will be missed. New names will enter your stories. I will forget which window faces your kitchen. But change is not the same as ending. We can learn the longer silence, ask again instead of assuming, and arrive as visitors who still know where the cups belong. Love can travel without staying identical.
