One Table, Many Graces
Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.
At the table we thank the Father
for bread and field,
remember the Son
who ate with friends and strangers,
and ask the Spirit
to make communion more than speech.
The plates do not become doctrine.
The people do not become perfect.
Still, giving,
receiving,
and shared breath
shape one act of love
that sends us fed toward others.
