Glory Be in a Small Room

by The Devotional Voice

Original EveryPoem Studio house-voice poem.

No organ today. No vaulted ceiling. Eight folding chairs, a heater that clicks, rain testing the windows. Still we pray: glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. The ancient words enter our borrowed room. Nothing becomes grander, except our attention to the God who is not crowded by smallness.
